Izmir Demokrasi University Faculty of Health Sciences
Izmir Demokrasi University Faculty of Health Sciences, which started its education activities in 2018 with 4 departments: Nutrition and Dietetics, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Nursing , Exercise and Sports Sciences, continues to grow rapidly with its research and education activities in a short time. In addition, Health Care Services, Dental Services, Electronics and Automation Department, Medical Services and Techniques Department has become an important educational institution in terms of training Health Professionals by taking students to the associate degree program within the Vocational School of Health Services.
Today, the scope of human health research and services should not be limited to the treatment of diseases. Sustainability of health and prevention of diseases are as important as the treatment of diseases. For this reason, professional groups in the field of health sciences should continue their work in a multi-disciplinary approach. Izmir Demokrasi University applies a multi-disciplinary approach with both education and structuring. Izmir Demokrasi University aims to educate Health Professionals and Health Technicians who received high level education in the field of science and technology under the guidance of national and spiritual values. In addition, our Faculty has an aim to graduate the students with the skills who continuously improve information of himself/herself and know the ways of accessing information, have very good communication skills, can perform teamwork and show leadership skills when necessary, show respect to the ethical rules, provide the highest quality health services in line with the needs of our country and increase the quality of life of the society as the most important duty.
